On its way in Beaver Ball 1.0.7 for iPhone and iPad.
Added
beaverball.app/games lists every Beaver game in one place: the iPhone betas on TestFlight, Beaver Ball on the App Store and the games you can play in a browser, each with a Copy button.
beaverball.app/games shows each game's icon and a row of pictures from it, with a short muted clip of Beaver Ball, Basketball, Football and Soccer in play.
The iPhone app tells you when a newer Beaver Ball is in the App Store: a small note on the home screen, with Update (a grown-up's check first) and Later.
Fixed
The All-Star Game (and any game started from the home screen or Career) no longer sticks on "Getting the field ready…" on older iPhones: player faces wait until the game is under way, so the game gets the phone's graphics memory to itself, and a game that can't start goes back with a note instead of freezing.
The support and privacy pages cover Beaver Pickleball, our new pickleball game.
Fixed
The Career screen opens again when your next game is waiting (it stopped with an error since the boy, girl or any beaver update on the website).
A game started from the home screen or Career can't stick on "Getting the field ready…": player faces wait until the game is under way, and a game that can't start goes back with a note instead of freezing.
The iPhone app can't get stuck on its launch screen: the part that talks to the phone loads on its own, and every app build checks it (the fix the other Beaver games needed).
A team you delete in the Team Builder stays deleted: syncing with an older copy of your save no longer brings it back.
Your daily streak no longer drops back to zero when your save syncs with another device or the website.
In Spooky Season every player keeps the look she was given for the whole game: nobody turns into a ghost when she gets a hit, and the other team no longer plays as zombies. The park still gets its pumpkins, bats and fog. The Monster Mash challenge is now "win a spooky game".
Your beavers can be a girl, a boy or any beaver: pick it on the Player Editor's Name tab (and for Your beaver in Career), and the game's words follow (she, he or they). It changes words only; every look, voice and item is for every beaver. Randomize leans a little toward short hair for a boy or any beaver.
The booth calls each player the way you picked: Peg, Stu and Gert say "he" or "they" for a boy or any beaver on homers, strikeouts, walks, hits, charges and tail calls, and the stars keep their own words. Batting practice and the menu tips now talk about "your players".
Two new hairstyles, free for everyone: Short crop (with Length and Fluff sliders) and Just fur. Two new looks to try go with them: Scout and Fuzzball.
Fixed
On an open iPhone Duo, the runner panel no longer covers the score bug's weather line when the phone is on its side, and the scouting card steps aside instead of hiding under the runner panel or the walk-up card when it's upright.
Everyone gets the picture home screen now, on phones too: the old list of buttons and its Settings switch are gone. On a phone, Challenge sits with Manager at the bottom instead of above Play ball!.
The website no longer uses Google Analytics, so it sets no tracking cookie; Report a problem on the website asks a grown-up first, as the app does.
The privacy policy covers Beaver Ski & Snowboard, the new web game: what it keeps in your browser and that it sends nothing to a server.
The Terms of Use cover every Beaver game, and the Beaver Basketball, Football and Soccer Clubs; the privacy policy adds Beaver Math and each sister game's Career, web version and Game Center boards.
Fixed
If your phone needs its graphics back while you play (it can, after a while in the background or when memory runs low), the game starts back up with your save instead of freezing on its last picture. A game you were in the middle of starts over.
Meet the Stars shows each star's real numbers under Best at (Birch's fastball, not a row of 50s), the same as the Lineup and Manager.
Dam Dottie's buttons read Dottie, not Dam, and Big Timber's and Big KK's no longer both say Big.
After a Home Run Derby nobody hollers "We won": there was nobody to beat.
A broken game or league link says so once the park has loaded, instead of behind the loading screen.
Career's signing card only mentions typed names when you typed one; the editor's Suggest and Randomize buttons lose their dice emoji.
A team's score-bug letters are always kid-safe: a nickname whose first three letters spell something rude uses its initials instead (the Night Owls read NOW).
Batting practice always finishes: if the bunt's slide doesn't take after three swings, the lesson moves on to its send-off.
The Shop's reveal names a trophy your buy just earned and the Bucks it paid, so the balance adds up. On Power Circle, batting practice ends with tips for the ring instead of the bar and the Power and Bunt buttons.
Fewer dead ends: Challenge vs players has a Build a team button when you have no team yet, the Daily streak screen has a Play an at-bat button, the Recap Show waits for your first game instead of offering an empty show, and Jump in on the welcome card starts a quick game.
Play a friend says when it can't reach the game server, instead of waiting forever. A game or league link with a code that doesn't read says so.
Opening a gift with Bucks in it rains them down, and the Settings button is easier to tap.
Clearer words in a few places: the welcome card, two trophy names (now Gnaw-some Start and Gnaw-some Swing), Meet the Stars, the Career season card, and the League name box. Peg's and Stu's tips no longer show stage directions like "[sighs]" on screen.
The cartwheel: a new celebration, and the home run trot's showiest move. She turns across the basepath and wheels along it, paws brushing the dirt, sometimes twice on a leg. In the Shop as Cartwheel (two in a row).
Lodgepole Radio plays instrumental music by default now, with six ballpark organ tunes from The Lodgepole Organ on a soft, warm organ with beaver claps, tail slaps and splashes. The sung songs are still there to switch on in Settings → Sound → Playlist.
The Seventh-Inning Stretch is sung now: a choir and a lead singer sing every word over the organ, a tuba, log drums and a kazoo, and the bouncing log ball lands on each word as it's sung.
The Lodge Band: every song and sting in a game is new, a wild hip-hop marching band on log drums with tuba, brass, kazoo, crisp claps and splashes, and the big moments get a crowd of beavers shouting along ("Chomp! Chomp! Let's go!", "Grand slam!", "Play ball!").
Game-day weather at Lodgepole Park: most games are sunny, but some are breezy, rainy, snowy or flooded, and each plays differently. Wind blowing out carries fly balls further and blowing in knocks them down; rain makes a slick ball that skids through the grass and slippery hands; snow stops the ball where it lands and slows everyone down; and a flood leaves puddles in right field by the dam that stop the ball dead with a splash and slow anyone wading through. Rain, snow and blowing leaves fall over the park, and the weather shows under the score. Settings → Ballpark → Weather → Always sunny turns it off; the seasonal parks keep their own skies.
Challenge, a new button on the home screen: take on any club the computer runs and play it, or sim the whole game from the players' ratings in a blink. Every club shows as Easier, Even or Tougher than yours, with your rival on top, and your challenge record and streak keep count. Play a friend live is in there too.
You can hear the weather now: soft rain, gusting wind or a snowy hush under the park's sounds, and Peg and Stu talk about the day before the first pitch, call a ball that lands in a puddle, and give the wind its due on a home run it carried.
Challenge any player: vs players matches you with the five players nearest your rating, level and team, so the games stay close. Sim it or play it against their team, or type a friend's challenge code. Every challenge moves both players' ratings, and you see who took on your team.
Settings → Camera: watch the play from the Broadcast, Close, Wide or Overhead view, and slide the camera's height, distance, zoom and field of view to just how you like it (Reset puts them back). The batting and pitching views stay put, so the pitch is always clear. Steady camera is for anyone who gets motion sick: slow, steady moves, cuts instead of long sweeps, no spin round a home run and no shake on a hit. It's always on while Reduce motion is.
Changed
The Basketball, Football and Soccer pages' Play the early version buttons open each game's newest build, and the pages are ready to show an App Store badge the day each app comes out.
The support page has a section for each Beaver game: Basketball's is new, and Football's and Soccer's now explain the save backup, Sign in with Apple and how to restore purchases.
Fixed
A team you delete in the Team Builder stays deleted: syncing with an older copy of your save no longer brings it back.
Your daily streak no longer drops back to zero when your save syncs with another device or the website.
In Spooky Season every player keeps the look she was given for the whole game: nobody turns into a ghost when she gets a hit, and the other team no longer plays as zombies. The park still gets its pumpkins, bats and fog. The Monster Mash challenge is now "win a spooky game".
A home run no longer vanishes the moment it clears the fence. The ball flies on, lands out past the wall and rolls off (or splashes into the pond, or clatters off the scoreboard stump, or stays up on top of it), and the camera stops at the wall and watches it come down before the trot.
The funny hats fit better: the Santa Hat, Pom-Pom Toque and Scarecrow Hat no longer sit on top of a ball cap with its bill poking out, Earmuffs go over a cap instead of fighting the batting helmet's ear flaps, the Santa Hat, toque pom, Party Hat, antlers and straw brim are a bit bigger so they sit big and proud, ears tuck away under the Santa Hat, and a catcher keeps the hat's colors under her mask instead of a funny hat poking through it.
A Spooky Season surprise: once a game, a swarm of bats swoops down on the field before a pitch and sends everybody ducking and diving, with silly spooky music, laughs that echo off into the night, low fog rolling in round the outfield and soft glowing will-o'-wisps. The pitch always waits until the bats are gone.
More from the Lodge: the other Beaver games (Basketball, Football and Soccer) with their app icons on a slim row at the foot of the home screen, with a short line after a game now and then. They say Coming soon until they're out. Club members skip the after-game line.
Put on what you just bought, right away: the Shop's reveal asks who wears it (a whole team, one star, your Career beaver or a player on one of your teams). Your new things lead the Shop's For you tab and the Locker, each a tap from Put it on, and the Locker has a Style tab with pictures to try on, buy and wear earrings, face paint, dyes and whole new looks.
One tap into a game from the home screen: Quick game, Home Run Derby, and your next Career game and league game (named for who you play) sit in a row near the top. The coming-soon note is now one slim strip.
Changed
A phone on its side plays cleaner: the captions, the batting tip, the walk-up card, the swing meter and the booth cam share one strip across the top, in the sky over the pitcher, so none lands on another or on the pitch. The pitch picker stands on the right, off the batter and the plate, and the Shop puts her stage beside the items instead of above them.
Number 99 on the Chompers is now Boulder Donny: her name, her Star Pack, her story and every line Peg, Stu, Gert, the fans and her teammates say about her.
Fixed
Every screen and long sheet keeps its title and ✕ in reach: scroll down the Locker, the Shop, Achievements, How to play or the keyboard shortcuts and the header stays pinned under the Dynamic Island, so the way back is always one tap away, upright or on its side.
The catcher faces the pitcher again while you pitch. A catcher wearing a Locker look turned round to face the backstop.
Batting stays clear to see: nothing on screen covers the pitch on its way to you, speech bubbles step aside (one at a time while you bat), and Captions Off now hides the players' bubbles and the booth's tips too.
Phones stay cooler in long sessions: the park draws at half rate on the home screen, a game's menu and final card, and while paused (it looks the same), the booth cam's corner picture too, and a 120 Hz screen draws games at 60 frames a second, as fast as the game moves.
A look you put on a player of one of your own teams (from the Shop, the Locker or the Player Editor) now shows when she bats, pitches and fields: that team plays your next game. A Locker look changed during a game goes on right away.
The game goes quiet when you switch to another window, and its sound comes back when you return to it.
In Spooky Season, hitting the pumpkin ball no longer freezes the game for a moment as your runner turns into a ghost on the way to first: the ghost and zombie looks are ready before the first pitch.
Quick game, Home Run Derby and the Career and league game buttons on the home screen no longer freeze the screen after a tap: a short loading card shows while the field gets ready, then the game starts.
On the website, a page for Beaver Soccer at beaverball.app/soccer, and fresh pictures and features on the Beaver Basketball and Beaver Football pages. Each page can add you to the list for one email when that game reaches the App Store.
More from the Lodge: the other Beaver games (Basketball, Football and Soccer) with their app icons on a slim row at the foot of the home screen, with a short line after a game now and then. They say Coming soon until they're out. Club members skip the after-game line.

The Privacy Policy and Support pages cover Beaver Soccer too, each in its own section (beaverball.app/privacy#soccer, /support#soccer).

In Spooky Season, hitting the pumpkin ball no longer freezes the game for a moment as your runner turns into a ghost on the way to first: the ghost and zombie looks are ready before the first pitch.
A look you put on a player of one of your own teams (from the Shop, the Locker or the Player Editor) now shows when she bats, pitches and fields: that team plays your next game. A Locker look changed during a game goes on right away.
On the website, a shared Daily Report link shows that day's picture again in Messages, Slack, LinkedIn and other apps that check a link before they show it.
Quick game, Home Run Derby and the Career and league game buttons on the home screen no longer freeze the screen after a tap: a short loading card shows while the field gets ready, then the game starts.
Beaver Ball 1.0.1, 1.0.2 and 1.0.3 for iPhone and iPad came out one after another after 1.0. Each update carries the ones before it, so here is everything the three of them added. 1.0.3 went to the App Store on October 25.
Added
The Beaver Ball Club comes to the app: a yearly membership that lets you take over a team in a regional league.
Leagues, Derby records and name callouts in the app, as they are on the website today.
Power Circle, a simpler way to bat: press and hold anywhere, and a big ring round the plate shrinks as the pitch comes, red, then yellow, then green. Let go on green to swing, or slide down first to bunt. Nothing else on screen while you bat. New players start with it; everyone can pick it (or go back to Wind-up or Buttons) in Settings → Batting → Swing style, and batting practice teaches it.
Open your iPhone Duo during a play and the camera pulls back to show the whole park, then swoops back to the ball.
Your Career team is in the Locker: pick your Career beaver to try on and wear a bat or celebration she takes into every Career game, and see her teammates on the stage. Her card in Career has a Dress her in the Locker button.
Manager mode: run a club from the dugout instead of playing every pitch. Set the batting order and the starting pitcher, then call the game batter by batter: steals, bunts, pinch hitters, the bullpen, an intentional walk or the infield in, with the coach's advice. Each club keeps a book of its record and every player's numbers.
Play a friend, live: one of you hosts and sends the code, the other joins, and you play each other phone to phone, each pitching and batting for your own club. Live games are friendlies for now, so nothing counts for Bucks or the boards, and you only see each other's board name.
Gifts from the Lodge: now and then the home screen has a gift waiting, Beaver Bucks, Training Points or something new for the Locker. Tap Open your gift.
Thanks for being here early: players who started in Beaver Ball's first day get 5,000 Beaver Bucks, the first two days 2,500 and the first week 500, waiting on the home screen.
Invite a friend from Settings → Your save: when they start playing with your link and finish a game, you each get 100 Beaver Bucks.
Sharing a league is one tap: the join code sits in big letters on the league with Share invite (your phone's share sheet, with a link) and Copy code. A friend who taps the link lands on Join with the code already in, and pasting a whole message into Join finds the code. Invite a friend is on the Leagues screen too, with Share link and Copy link.
The Rookie Pack: after your third game, a one-time pack in the Shop with 2,000 Beaver Bucks, 100 Training Points and the Rookie Slugger, a bat you can't get anywhere else.
Buy a Streak Save on the Streak screen when a missed day froze your streak.
Meet Bab, the Logrollers' new shortstop (Pip moves to second): the fastest legs in the league, a big bat, all the sass, and a fuse so short that any strike can send Bab out to the mound and a runner on base starts shoving matches. Hometown postcard from Thunderclap Falls.
Meet Big KK, the Chompers' new pitcher and a featured star on every bench: huge power, the best head for the game in the league, the slowest legs in it, a knock-knock joke for every batter, and a hometown postcard from Oʻahu in Meet the Stars: Waikīkī under Lēʻahi (Diamond Head), with a story about the island's history.
Beaver Football and Beaver Basketball are coming: the home screen says so, and on beaverball.app/football and /basketball a grown-up can join a list for one email when each one reaches the App Store. Not interested? No thanks folds the box away.
Every beaver can have her own page on the website: open a saved player in the Player Editor, go to Name and tap Make her page. Her link (beaverball.app/beaver/her-name, with a number after the name once it's taken) opens her locker and she steps out in 3D in her kit and gear, with her number, team and, for your Career beaver, her career numbers. The stars have pages too, like beaverball.app/beaver/birch.
Tap a Hall of Famer on the website to see her player card: who she plays as, her numbers and her places. Save her card as a picture, or draft a copy of her player onto one of your teams for Beaver Bucks.
Share cards: show off your player's look or her season stats as a picture for social media, from the Player Editor and Career.
Two new pitches: the curveball sweeps away from the batter and dips, and the screwball bends in on her. Pick them with the other four when you pitch, and watch out, because the other team throws them too.
Career has a Stats tab: your beaver's whole line, like a real scorebook (batting average, on-base, slugging, innings, ERA, putouts and more), for this season and her career, season by season, with her whole team's numbers beside hers.
Spooky Season dresses the home screen: a starry night banner with a jack-o'-lantern, pumpkins by Play ball!, a friendly ghost peeking over Leagues and bats flapping about.
Two new celebrations: a backflip that sticks the landing, and Tail Thunder, one giant whack of the tail on the ground that bounces her into the air. Players break them out after home runs, wins and big outs, and both are in the Shop.
Changed
Long sessions run cooler: the park draws at a calmer pace in quiet moments (menus, pause, between batters) and when nobody is touching the screen, while pitches and live plays stay at full speed. A warm iPhone or Low Power Mode steps it down further, and Settings → Ballpark → Battery saver turns it on any time.
Controller buttons (press View on a game controller) is now a picture of your controller with a label on each button, one tab each for Batting, Running, Pitching, Fielding and Menus, opening on the one you are in. It shows your controller's own buttons: Xbox, PlayStation or Switch.
Settings codes are now for special events: each one gives a small gift and stops working after its last day.
Tail Slap says what it does: the button reads "Sprint + dive", a tap tells you your fielder is sprinting and diving, and if she never gets to dive you keep it for later.
The Home Run Derby scoreboard says what each number is: your points, what's left in the round and your longest homer. On bigger screens the scoreboard shows full team names.
The swing meter sits at the bottom of the screen, under the strike zone, so it never covers the booth.
Batters keep their eyes on the pitcher: in the box they turn their heads to the mound, watch the wind-up and follow the ball all the way in.
Career Stats got a makeover: flip between this season and her whole career, see where she ranks on her team, and tap any stat's letters (like AVG or ERA) to learn what they mean.
A new home screen: every place in the game is a picture, with your daily streak, your league table, your career and your last game's star right on it. Prefer the old list? Settings → Ballpark → Home screen → Classic.
The fly ball marker shows where the ball will be caught, with a ring that closes in as it comes down.
The buttons on the end-of-game card are evenly spaced.
The Log Roll celebration really rolls now (two somersaults), and the Cannonball starts with a backflip.
Peg and Stu's tips sit in the bottom left corner, a little bigger, and go away with a tap on the ✕ or anywhere else. In Settings → Ballpark, the notes line up under their buttons and the ball colors show the real balls.
The Shop's Bucks page is easier to read: each pack of Beaver Bucks and Training Points has its own picture, shows how much more the bigger ones give, and has its price right on the button. The Club sits beside them.
Fixed
The Hall of Famers stand on top of their stumps instead of sinking into them.
Hall of Famers show the beaver each player made for herself (her name, number, face and body) instead of the Lodge Logrollers' leadoff hitter, and drafting one puts that exact player on your team. The draft works from her card in the app's Hall of Fame too, and a draft link opens the iPhone app.
Peg and Stu talk out loud in the Recap Show: every line, with your players' names and numbers, as its bubble comes up. Pause and Skip stop them mid-sentence.
Settings › Your save fits on a computer screen: the help text runs across the pane and Share link and Copy link sit side by side, so there's no long scroll.
On the open iPhone Duo, menus and cards sit in the middle of the screen instead of off to one side, the batter's walk-up card no longer covers the score, and the swing tip stays on its own half. On the deck, the six pitches fill their strip and the pitching box sits in the middle.
The loading screen no longer stutters: the beaver chomps along the log without freezing, and each bite lands as the game really loads.
Outfielders chasing a home run stop in front of the fence and look up to watch it go, instead of running into the logs.
The ballpark music plays all game long again: the Seventh-Inning Stretch song, walk-up songs, inning breaks and the home run fanfare no longer go quiet in longer games.
Meet Beaver Ball's sister games on the website: beaverball.app/football for Beaver Football (7-on-7 tail-flag at Mudflat Field) and beaverball.app/basketball for Beaver Basketball (hoops in the Lodge Gym), each with a link to play its early version in your browser. Both are coming soon to iPhone.

Your Career team is in the Locker: pick your Career beaver to try on and wear a bat or celebration she takes into every Career game, and see her teammates on the stage. Her card in Career has a Dress her in the Locker button.
Play a friend, live: one of you hosts and sends the code, the other joins, and you play each other phone to phone, each pitching and batting for your own club. Live games are friendlies for now, so nothing counts for Bucks or the boards, and you only see each other's board name.
