Leagues with your friends

Start a league, give it a name from the name lists, and share its six-character join code. Two to twelve teams can join, each with a team you built in the Team Builder. Whoever starts the league is the commissioner and presses Start when everyone's in.

A season is a schedule of weeks where every team meets every other team, once or twice. Each matchup is two games, one for each of you: you play yours against your friend's team whenever you like that week, and your friend plays theirs against yours. Nobody waits on anybody, and both scores count.

Your friend's team is the one they built: their names, numbers, faces, bats and ratings. It's frozen when the season starts, so nobody can swap in a souped-up team halfway through. New gear from the Shop is the exception: Refresh my looks sends your new uniform, bats and hats to your team for everyone's games.

Standings and season prizes

The table ranks wins first, then run differential, then the games between the tied teams. Miss a game all season and it counts as a loss, so sitting out never helps.

Then the commissioner starts the next season: fresh teams, a new schedule, and last season's table kept for bragging rights.

Your team levels up over the season

  • League Training Points. A league game pays the usual Training Points plus a league bonus: up to 25 a game, or 30 on Hard. Spend them in the Team Builder to make your players better for good.
  • Form. Every game you play adds a flame, and every win adds another, up to 10 a season. Every two flames add +1 to your team's ratings in league games, up to +5. Form can't be bought, only played for, and it resets each season.

Regional leagues across the US

Ten public leagues, one for each part of the country, so there's always a season going on. Each league has eight team spots. A spot is played by a CPU computer team until a player takes it over.

CPU teams are honest about it: every one wears a CPU tag, its games play themselves through the week, and it's never counted as a player. Each has a real hometown and a beaver nickname, like the Boise Knotholes, and keeps its name season after season.

Seasons run on a fixed calendar: seven weeks of three days each, then a three-day break. Each region starts two days after the one before it, so some league is always just starting or heading for the finish.

Watching is free for everyone. Open any regional league to see its standings, this week's games and every result.

Taking over a team is for Beaver Ball Club members. Join midseason and you take over a CPU spot right away, keeping its record so far and playing its games from that week on. Join in the last week or the break and you start the next season from the first pitch. You can be in two regional leagues at once. The Beaver Ball Club is coming soon to the app.

A league's Draft tab on a phone: the Season 1 draft's picks, round by round, each showing the team that picked, the beaver, her position and her overall rating.
The draft, pick by pick.

The draft

Your Career beaver can play for other teams too. Before a season, put her in the league's draft pool. Everyone else sees her made-up name, her position and one overall rating.

Each team ranks up to eight beavers from the pool on its draft board, best first, or sits the draft out. The draft runs the moment the season starts, so nobody waits on anybody: two rounds, snake order, and each pick is the highest beaver on that team's board who's still there. Miss it and you still get the best beaver left.

A drafted beaver plays her own position for that team all season, at most three to a team, so every team stays mostly yours.

Her owner gets paid. Every game your beaver plays for another team earns you 2 Training Points and 10 Beaver Bucks. Open the league and the game tells you how many she played.

Waivers, free agents and swaps

  • Waivers. Release a drafted beaver and she's on waivers for two days. Any team with room can claim her, and if more than one does, the team that picks earliest in the draft order gets her.
  • Free agents. A beaver nobody claimed, or nobody drafted, is a free agent any team with room can sign on the spot.
  • Swap requests. Offer one of your drafted beavers for one of another player's. They get one tap, Accept or Decline, within a day. Two requests a season, no haggling and no messages.

Moves are open until the last week. Games already played keep the roster they had, so a move never rewrites a score.

Place leagues

Pick where you're from, your country or your state, and your scores count for it too. Each place has its own standings on the Hall of Fame's boards, and a world map shows each place's best beaver. The game never reads your location: it's only ever the place you pick.

Safe for the whole family

  • No chat, no messages. The only contact between players is the game itself: a pick, a claim, a swap request answered with one tap.
  • Made-up names. Players, teams and leagues show names from the word lists. A name you type stays on your device.
  • Computer teams are always marked. A CPU team never pretends to be a person.

Do I need an account?
